Dragon Ball GT

Dragon Ball GT (ドラゴンボールGT, Doragon Bōru Jī Tī?) is an anime-only sub-series of the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama. Dragon Ball GT is the sequel to the Dragon Ball Z anime, which was an adaptation of the Dragon Ball manga volumes. It is the only series that is not based directly on Toriyama's original story.

Plot

In Dragon Ball GT, Goku is turned back into a child by the bizarre, new Dragonballs, which have black stars implanted on them. The "Black Star" Dragonballs spread across the entire galaxy. Within one year, if the Dragonballs are not captured, the entire Earth will explode. Goku, Trunks, Gohan, and Goten originally plan on going together to catch the Dragonballs, but the team is split to Goku, Trunks, and strangly Pan.

Popularity

Most Dragon Ball fans found Dragon Ball GT a bit odd. The anime also included Pan various times, rather than Goku. There was also the problem that Akira Toriyama did not entirely create Dragon Ball GT.

Super Saiyan 4

One more transformation is included in the continuation of Dragon Ball Z. Super Saiyan 4 which Goku and Vegeta can use. The transformation is only unlockable if the Saiyan is transformed into an Oozaru (Great Ape) due to the moon or projection of anything of light or shape of the moon. Then the Great Ape has to learn how to control himself and put aside his monstrous, demonic behavior. Finally, the Saiyan shrinks back to his/her original size and grows fur on his/her body, along with extended, black hair.

Rumor

Later some time after Dragon Ball GT ended, there was gossup that a continuation Dragon Ball AF was coming out. Dragon Ball AF is not an actual anime or manga, but is a manga in Japan. The art was so similiar to Akira Toriyama's work.
